Pre-save, out 6 Nov!  O, to Be Loved

Dear friends,

What does it mean to love—and to be loved—as time changes us?

O, to Be Loved looks back on a life shaped by love. Across three variations, one musical idea returns in changing forms—as though the same bond is being heard at different points in a life. The music follows love as it moves from the closeness of companionship into memory, where it remains part of who we are. Its Romantic language draws on the piano lineage of Schumann and Liszt. It arrives November 6, as a follow-up to La vie pathétique in the Belle-Époque tradition. Click the album artwork above to pre-save it.

I’m considering a subscription series of occasional live piano performances, guided listening, and educational materials. Would that interest you? I’d love to hear what format you’d enjoy. Reply and let me know whether you would prefer performances with brief commentary, guided listening, or a mixture of both. No music-reading background would be needed.

On a personal note, I’ve started a fundraiser to help someone close to me obtain experienced legal counsel and a thorough review of their case. Access to meaningful legal help can depend heavily on financial resources, and the expenses are beyond what I can manage alone. It is an urgent matter.

I’m keeping their identity private while the legal process continues. I will receive and manage the donations for the legal expenses described on the fundraiser page. If you’re able to contribute or share the link, I would be grateful.

Thank you for listening and for being part of my musical community. Besides the new Le refuge (Felted) full performance below, a full portrait performance will be on my YouTube on 30 Oct at 10 AM PST.

Warmly,

Sharon
